Arthashastra Financial Planners Pvt. Ltd. or AFPPL has its origins in the independent mutual fund advisory started by Mr. Aniruddha Sengupta in the year 1998. Aniruddha, had previously worked in different areas of financial services since 1993, comprising of IPOs, private placements of debt & equity, project finance and Assets and Trade financing.

The motivation that drove him, to start off independently in the area of personal financial services was the opportunity that lay in handholding busy professionals towards achieving financial security and freedom.

Job Profile & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Research, Insurance & Securities analyst with skills in Financial Planning, Analytical aptitude, and a flair for researching, preparing and working on spread sheets..
Responsibilities and Duties
• Tracking all Insurance and Investment products – collate essential information, prepare comparative charts & summarizing recommendations (Appropriateness or suitability depending on client specifics)
• Financial Planning: Create, Develop and Automate Excel financial models/workings and create a framework for further development of the same. Build and automate charts and graphs to pictorially depict outcome of Excel workings.
• Business Support: Develop reporting and tracking templates for Financial Planning MIS.
• Develop PowerPoint Presentations for use of Financial Planning team.
• Assist with various functions, as may be needed from time to time. Facilitate to simplify the work of those supported.
• Contribute to efficiency by identifying relevant tools and products in the marketplace and help incorporate those in the organisation, if needed.

Prefered Qualifications

Any Graduate (preferably BSc.-IT/BBA/BMS) [relevant internships preferred]  Diploma/Certification in relevant financial services area (e.g. CFP – Certified Financial Planner)

Desired Candidate Profile

• Certification in Data Analytics, MS Excel Automatons, Scripting; preferred
• Typically, 3 years of experience in similar roles in business reporting and support functions.
• Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrable expertise on MS Excel and Powerpoint applications, Macros and knowledge of Visual Basic scripting and Programming
• Highly attentive to details with willingness to learn and innovate
• Candidate from nearby areas, western suburbs (Malad -West, Mumbai), within easy commute, preferred
• Strong time-management and planning skills; with multi-tasking and problem solving abilities
• Proficient in MS Excel skills and ability to apply such skills to develop financial planning models.
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint and aiding development of relevant presentations on MS PowerPoint
• Good analytical and interpersonal skills. A great team player who is self-observant and proactive
• Demonstrated diligence for organizing, planning, documentation and report preparations
• Proactive orientation towards business support services, with empathy and helpfulness
